On your iPhone only. Plateau has no servers, so we never receive it.
No. Plateau can copy from Health once during setup, but Health doesn't accept doses from other apps, so nothing syncs back. If you copy from Health, turn off its medication reminders so you don't get two.
No. The activity curve is a rough estimate, not medical advice. Follow your clinician's instructions.
Yes. Import a Plateau backup, or an export from Theraview or Medisafe. You review every schedule before anything is saved.
Only if you turn on the optional drug lookup, which is off by default. It sends just the drug name to the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the FDA.

Plateau is a medication log that keeps your data on your iPhone. There are no accounts, and we don't run any servers. We never receive your data, so we can't sell or share it.
All of this stays on your device:
Plateau's widgets read your data from a shared container on the same device. Nothing in that container leaves your iPhone.
If you connect Apple Health, Plateau asks to read the medications you pick in Apple's permission screen, along with their dose events (taken or skipped). Plateau can't see medications you don't pick. You can change or remove access anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Plateau.
Data read from Health stays on your device. Plateau doesn't use it for advertising or data mining, and doesn't share it with or sell it to anyone.
The lookup is off by default. If you turn on "Look up unknown drugs online," Plateau can fetch a typical half-life for a drug it has no built-in values for. To do that, it sends only the drug name to two US government services:
rxnav.nlm.nih.gov)api.fda.gov)As with any web request, those services can see your IP address, and their own policies cover what they do with it. Plateau sends them nothing else: no dose history, no identifiers, no Health data. Results are saved on your device, so each drug is only looked up once. You can turn the lookup off in Settings.
Reminders and follow-ups are scheduled on your device and delivered by iOS. Their content isn't sent to us or to any server. You can change notification permission in the iOS Settings app.
You can export your data as a CSV or JSON file, and import a Plateau JSON export. Exports are made on your device and go only where you send them, such as Files, Mail or AirDrop. Once you share one, what happens to it is up to whoever receives it. Exports contain health information and aren't encrypted, so be careful who you send them to.
Plateau has no sign-in, no ads or ad SDKs, and no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. It doesn't sell or share personal data, and there's no server holding your data.
Your Plateau data may be included in iCloud or computer backups, depending on your Apple settings. Apple manages those backups. To delete your data, use Settings → Delete all data in the app, or delete the app. Copies you've exported or backed up elsewhere need to be deleted separately. Deleting Plateau doesn't remove anything from Apple Health.
Plateau isn't intended for children under 13. Since Plateau doesn't collect information from anyone, it doesn't collect any from children either.
The activity curves in Plateau are rough estimates based on typical values. They aren't medical advice. Follow your clinician's instructions.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll also let you know in the app or in the release notes.
